Greetings,
The glass turntable for my Dometic Microwave got broken today. Do any of you fine folks know of any stores that might handle such an item, (generic probably)? I'm on the road and I checked Wallyworld in Medford OR. but to no avail.
Thanks so much....see ya' down the road,
*NOTE*
ALL I need is the glass plate that the food sets on while turning and heating, everything else works fine, (I dropped the plate is all).

Hmm....At first I thought you were referring to your turntable that plays 45's. On second thought, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about!

Being household repairman I ask you the standard question:
"Will you spend $80 for the part to repair $50 appliance?"

Camping World is the authorized dealer for Dometic parts
If you have an appliance parts store the turntable MIGHT be identical to a Lucky Goldstar or a GE I know the Dometic Microwave in my coach is a LG (Which means it's crap) I had a problem with the turntable motor, the shaft is too short and thus it does not engage the arms that turn the glass table properly. I finally made a modification to the microwave itself, and replaced the motor with a GE part, The GE part works fine.
But Camping world is the authorized Dometic parts store. May be special order

Check out yard sales ! There is always an old microwave for sale cheap. My Sister gave me a microwave for my step-son when he moved out on his own (for the second time ). I still have it in the garage (he did not need one)as my daughter will soon be striking out on her own again .

I had the same problem as you last year. I searched hi and low with no results.
I looked at Wally world several times when I found this round plastic microwave dish. I bought and it fits perfectly in my Dometic Microwave.

It's appr. 10 3/4" wide.

This website has many of the popular glass trays for microwaves. If you send them the dimensions or the model they probably will be able to help you.

Several years ago my turntable cracked and I went to a place that makes repairs to appliances. They sold me one, from a microwave that didn't work anymore, for $5.00...new was $50.00. This was a long time ago...my microwave was a Radar Range by Amana...huge and expensive. They've come a long way baby!
