I recently put on the Rancho RS9000XL shocks that I got from Sam's Off Road. They made a really nice difference over the stock shocks. At the nine mark, the truck settled in right away after a bump in the road. Only $250 for the four and another $75 for the install. A nice comfortable mod for $325.

We did the same on our '06 Chevy 3500 D/A.
The OEM shocks are way too soft for a 1 ton truck.
The Rancho's made a world of difference.

Yep ... most everyone who has made this change has had the same beneficial result. By and large, stock shocks are typically outclassed by aftermarket shocks, and I am partial to the adjustable Ranchos.

I like the Rancho's also. If I understand the adjustment the higher the number the more compression and rebound dampening? (slower change rate) I have the rears at 9 and the fronts at 7 as I need all the dampening control I can get.
