Percentage wise it may be the same, but dollar wise he has more paid than you.

Based on your logic he should get more refund not just the same as you. You want him to pay more because he makes more, but when somthing is comming back you are upset because it is the same??? His refund shuold be more than you.

Well Im not trying to be out of line but someone here said they make in the 100K yr range and you call yourself POOR. If my income remains the same. It will take me 3 years to equal your 1 yr salary. OH and BY-THE-WAY my rebate will be spent on rebuilding my DDs engine (I dont make enough to afford a new car payment)Not a pleasure rebuild either. 150,000k, spun rod bearing, and cracked block. It will cost more than my rebate. So I guess my REBATE will really go to MASTERCARD!! Is that American money?

I said me and my wife made in the $100K range together but never said we were poor, I do know it would be very hard to make ends meet at 1/3 the income we have now, we drive old cars that are paid for, and I ride a motorcycle to save on gas when weather permits. You said I make 3 times the money you make and we will be getting the same amount as you back, I never complained about this, but it sounds like you are complaining that I paid 3 times as much in taxes and I'm getting as much as you back, my wife left a full time good paying job to become a teacher, she has been subing for going on three years now at half the pay she was offered to stay at her old job, which she still works 10 to 15 hours after subing everyday, so me working full time and grabbing every bit of overtime I can get, and her working a full time job and a part time job keeps us from being poor, but were not rich, maybe lower middle class.

Where did you see somebody say they make $100k and were poor? I've followed this entire thread and never saw that. The complaint was some of us aren't getting a rebate check. If you made a 1/3 less than somebody that made $100k then I will tell you my income taxes last year equalled your salary. So why is it I don't get a stimulas check?

You say you like fees and if you use it the most you should pay the most. So tell me what it is that I use more than you that causes me to have to pay more income taxes than you do?

Although I haven't received mine yet, it was spent at the dentist. My wife had to have a crown last week (850.00) and the resultant work that went with it will equal the check, IF WE EVER GET IT...

Look in a Northern Tool catalog, it lists what products are made in the USA.

We will be using ours to pay our personal property tax on our RV's. In Indiana you pay a excise tax on your personal property. Normally they add the tax to your license plate fees,... making a new car or truck plate sometimes cost $500. Well, they don't add the tax to your RV, boat, snowmobile, ATV,... you have to report it to the court house every year. Last year I was told that they were no longer sending out the forms for us to fill out,... we were just supposed to remember to come down and report it without the form. guess what,... we forgot, and now we got a delinquent notice with 10% added to the fee. $288.28. Guess we will use our tax rebate to pay our idiot tax.

The question was ... how will we spend the rebate check?

Save a little, give some to the church, spend a little on gas, eating out, and a laptop. It will not go far, but oh well...

By the way I do agree with a small fee for every night. That way he who uses the most, pays the most.

Would $2 a day cover your electricity costs? Or would the cost of collecting that $2 be too much?
