Our "refund" was direct deposited, then was split in half and transfered into our Roth IRA's.

I'm still waiting, per the original schedule I should have it this week but with the week early I'd have thought it would arrived last week.

PAY BILLS

Here is a suggestion though.. Perhaps we could all send some of it in to AFFINITY GROUP with a request to upgrade these crash-o-matic servers (As I type it's crashed again rozzin, friggin, frizzin, froggit)

I don't think that's supposed to happen this time around.

that will be great then!!
Just receieved letter from IRS Monday 05/05; Rebate does not apply to income.

And if you ever claimed any federal refund as income, I'd like to sell you a bridge.
You might get back to three years amended returns. How long have you been doing this?

If your state allows you to write off your federal income taxes from your state taxes, then a federal refund may be taxable in your state the next year. California does not allow this. But you can write-off your state income taxes on your federal return, so if you get a refund on your state taxes it is generally taxable on your federal return the next year.

not sure about this part, it's been so long since I ever received a state refund, and then it only amounted to a couple of bucks.

I'll have to research this at least for Pa.

I also usually owe the state more money. This year I had to pay another $1200 to the state. But now I can add that $1200 to my itemized deductions on my 2008 income taxes. Actually Turbotax will do it automatically for me.

Hire a contractor to build an RV pad. The materials and labor is local and it enhances the value of your property.
