This is just our second season with our fiver so we are still learning! We put off buying stabilizers until this year and now with diesel prices the way they are our money is tight. We had wanted to get the JT stongarms but because of price are now looking at the Wayne's stabilizers. Those of you that have those, are we going to get almost the same results with the Wayne's? We found the Wayne's for free shipping and $4o apiece which is a lot cheaper than the JT's. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I went from Wayne's to the JT's and there is a night and day difference. The Wayne's did a better job on my 29 ft Laredo but didn't work as well on a 34 ft Challenger which is actuallt 37.5 ft long. They do help some and for the $$$ it sure cannot hurt to try them. One of the issues I had was buying the right length and then getting to a camping spot that wasn't level. Then the length was wrong for that spot. I found out the world is not flat!

Personally I think there is no comparison - you get what you pay for - my JT's were worth every last cent!

If you are looking to save money, you might try the homemade route. Do a search and you will find lots of ideas. I made mine out of 4x4 blocks of wood and some old 3/4 inch pipe and pipe clamps. Works great.

I got the JTs. I researched on this forum and other places before buying and never read one bag thing about them. They really work.

I know you didn't ask about JTs, but if I'm reading your question right, I see that the price difference really isn't that much.
You said $40 for each of the Waynes (X6?), and you can get the 6 piece set of JTs for $299, delivered to your door.
Doing the math, 40X6= $240, whereas the JTs would only be $59 more.
In my opinion, I think it would be worth the $59 additional cost to upgrade, since you're already into it for $240...

You only really need 2 of the Wayne's stabilizers, one for the front of the rig and one at the rear. You do need to be cautious as to where they are placed, make sure they are under a support of some sort, as they don't span the entire width of the trailer. They DO work, although probably not as much as the JTs, and you do have to set them up each time you go out where the JTs are a permanent attachment.
