I use a fly swatter....but the cat hates it.
I use the vacuum cleaner! One of the hand held ones and she loves it! But for fleas i had to treat the whole house as they kept coming back till i used Adams home protection flea control. Never put anything on cat.

We moved into our MH with a 14 yr.old cat who spent most of her time outside & had some fleas. We used a flea comb & spray & keep her inside now (she doesn't mind). The worse flea problem I ever had was in a 2nd floor apartment with an indoor cat. The vet said I most likely brought them in myself on my pants legs, seeing how fleas can only jump about 18 in.s & it's not likely they jumped all the way to the second floor. I wondered.... after jumping 18 in.s do they die? or do they take a deep breath & jump another 18 in.s & so on till they get to the 2nd floor!

Don't use anything and have no problems. Don't believe is soaking chemicals into there skin. We are all exposed to enough junk.

We use Frontline. I find the over the counter preparations to be ineffective. Don't feed garlic to cats; it can be toxic to them.

It's a start...

Another vote for Revolution! I've used it for close to 15 years, never a problem. Here in buggy Florida, I worried over heartworms, but no more. It's not cheap, especially for two cats, but it's worth every penny!

We're using Revolution. We live in tick country and the cats do like to snoop around outside (in fact, they insist on it when the weather is nice). Never seen a flea and we rarely see a tick.
