Anyone else have a Paraguard IUD move out of place? (Dr verified it was correct to start w/ultrasound) And of course the VERY FIRST opportunity, and 3rd kiddo is now on the way, and will be 11mo apart from DS. Talk about a range of emotions, from shock to angry, to happy, and everything in between. Not at all like the first 2 when we were wanting and expecting. I never expected to have to have the what do we do now discussion with DW. We were smart and carefull, talked about temporary vs permenant solutions, decided on what we felt was the best option for us for this time in our lives, did everything to be responsible adults, and life happens anyway. I am still getting used to the idea of 3. Now I know many of you have 3 or more, and my SIL has 4, but I grew up with one sibling, and all my adult life I pictured myself with a wife and 2 kids (DW was happy with 2 also) This has required a paradigme shift in my view of life, but I will adjust, and will love #3 just as much. I think trading in the Explorer for the Expedition EL helped solidify it a bit for me. I know I am rambling a bit, but sometimes it helps to just put stuff down, and have someone to talk to. Of course all the grandparents /ggrandparents are tickled pink! Man, should have bought a lotto ticket last month!!

It moved, no longer in the uterus, thats why #3 is on the way. But it also is not currently interfering with the pregnancy. DW is being closely monitered, but so far everything is going great.
As much of a shock as it is, be thankful that it's not the opposite-you desperately want kids and can't have them. Sometimes ya just gotta roll with the punches. I only have one but that wasn't my choice. In the long run, with my heart issue and other things, nature knew best. Who knows-this may be the child that saves the world. Undoubtedly you have enough love to go around and undoubtedly this child will be special, in ways that you might not realize until later on.
I felt the same way with my third. Was told I could not have more children....then OOPS! My other sons were 16 and 10. But, he has been the joy of my life. The older two moved out, so for many years it was the third one and me. What would I have done with out him????

Get the IUD out before too much more time passes...and if you don't want more, there's one option that is a preventative (the guy is supposed to use them), and two that are much more foolproof than an IUD, which require brief surgeries...one for the guy, or one for the gal.

Due to it's current location, the IUD removal will probably require a minor laperscopic sugery, which currently would be more risk that leaving it where it is. This may change as time goes on, but for now it is planned to be surgically removed after the pregnancy. The whole reason for the IUD was to not have to use other preventatives, and we are both 32 and wern't quite ready for the more foolproof methods, though after this I think we may BOTH be doing that! I guess it was ment to be. We do really love and enjoy the 2, so what is one more. Heh, we already have names picked out.
