Help. I got my first digital camera yesterday and I am trying to learn all I can. I have no idea how to post my pics on a forum and add text to the pics.

Please explain the easiest way to post my pics with descriptions. I don't like the pics that you have to open another site to see. What are the different ways to post pics?

Thanks for all your help,
Lisa

You have raised two issues, adding text and posting pictures.

As far as posting pictures, there are many tutorials in the FAQs located on the Forum Technical Support forum. The first decision is what host site will you use for the pictures - Yes, the pictures that you see in posts on this forum are first placed on a host site. (The FAQs I mentioned has two threads about host sites.) Once you have chosen a host site, I can give you particulars about posting pictures on this forum.

You will need to pick a photo hosting site that will give you a "IMG" format option. Forums use the IMG format. I found Picassa didn't and Photobucket does so I use Photobucket.

Copy the IMG photo file from Photobucket (or other) and paste it into your post. I use Windows XP and Ctrl V will paste the IMG address into the post.

Use the "Advanced Post Form"

Use the web space your ISP provides for you. FTP your photos there and then link to them from rv.net. Set size to no more than 640x480.

There is NO requirement that the file format be .img. Actually .jpg are the best.

Tom,

I love your site. Where are you? Is it a campground or private?
