Well after two months trying to get things caught up, we finally made the trip from East Texas to Tempe, AZ to pick up the MH we bought on Ebay (1989 Pace Arrow 32ft). Over all it is in pretty good shape. There was some water damage that was not listed on the auction, I hope that won't be too bad to fix. We left Tempe and headed up to Williams, man I17 is not friendly to this old gal, especially pulling the Jeep. We finally unhooked the Jeep and had her follow us in it. That helped. Once we got to I40 and headed West to Williams from Flagstaff, she ran like a dream, only having a bit of trouble on the steeper hills. I guess all the power train has had a good workout, nothing unexpected so far. Hope it stays that way.

We are staying at Railside Rv Ranch here in Williams, the folks are really nice. Williams seems like a pretty nice town from what we have seen so far, we got in pretty late last night so today we will check out more.

Today we will head up to the Grand Canyon in the Jeep and do some sight seeing. Tomorrow we will be heading over to Holbrook for a night and then start home on Monday. I hope everything continues to be in good shape and no trouble pops up. Wish us luck.

Congrats on your new to you purchase. Hope you enjoy it and glad everything is going good so far. Envy you being at Williams and going up to the Canyon. Been there a few time and it's stunning. One of nature marvels for sure. Well enjoy your trip and enjoy your new ride. Happy Motoring!!!

I did the same trip end of March this year it is a hard haul up I17.I have a Winny Vectra 275 H.P. Turbo Cat and pull a Jeep Grand C. I did not unhook, at times 35 miles per hour in third gear near the top, had to watch the heat on the Cat diesel. No one passed me as they seemed to be all about the same speed. The RV that you have must be in good shape as that I40 sure is a test.
We stayed at Willams in the RV park north side of I40 where you turn to go into Williams, was very dusty and coal like gravel where you park, not very nice.I then also drove to the Grand Canyon with the Jeep one can not tell anyone about what it looks like there,it has to be seen to believe it.The aicraft museam that is on the west side of road to the Grand Canyon is also a great place to stop, lots of things to see there.
Good Luck on the rest of your travels.

Congratulations on the new r/v--It becomes addictive ,believe me.
We travelled to USA 18mths ago and did the same trip you are doing. At Williams we boon docked at the local bank parking area -it was the w/end,and we both lay in bed listening to the wonderful sounds of the trains as they ghosted in and out of Williams all night, giving out their amazing moaning style of whistle. That,s when we really knew that we were in the heart of the USA -It was wonderful.
Enjoy G/Canyon. That whole area left a lasting impression on two New Zealanders from down under. Take care. Don and Sue Sutton. Auckland. New Zealand.

We have reservations at the OK RV Park in Holbrook already. We are going to the Petrified forest and the up to the Painted Desert for sunset, so maybe we will see you all around there. If you see a black Wranger with yellow KC Highlites Smiley Faces on the front that is us.

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone.
