You have all kinds of excitement with nascar, open wheel groups are coming together with Danica leading the way, and Ashley Force driving to victory in drag racing. Some great story lines these days!
Did you just see Victory Lane on the Speed Channel, and Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain? He compared Rowdy Busch to Dale Earnhart Sr, for one. Then, there was story after story of developments and exciting announces and race reporting and a storm of e-mails and phone calls from fans. I loved the report on Indy cars and the Indy 500. And, I don't believe there's ever been a more exciting time in NASCAR racing. I can't wait for the Lady in Black.

Well folks, this was my first time on this particular forum and I must say it was most interesting. Made for lively conversation here at home to. As much as I dislike Busch (both and it's their personality)I have to admit I enjoy watching him race and I am a big time Jr. fan. Hamlin played a little dirty pool and got his wrist slapped. Anyway, on to the next race and thanks again to whoever started this thread.
And they say NASCAR is boring.........last weeks race was kinda like the good ole days with drivers driving cars that were actually production bodies and just all around good ole boys.

They only gave him a "on-the-spot" penalty of a driveby through pit road.
BTW there is absolutely no way that I would believe he stopped on the racetrack just to help Kyle Busch. On the track, drivers are the most selfish animal on the planet. IMO he wanted a yellow immediately after his tire went flat because traffic did not allow him to come down into pit road, so he stopped and caused the yellow for HIM, not for Kyle.
I am sure Hamlin was told to stop on the track to force the yellow flag. Aren't Busch and Hamlin teammates? Hamlin was also held for 2 laps for that stop and go incident. Plus it appears to me that Jr. should not have come down so far on Kyle. We all know that Jrs. car was not handling well to begin with, which is why he was running the higher line and not the bottom of the turn, so he should have never put himself in that position. And I also believe that Kyle would have made a clean pass, or spun himself out, if Jr. had not came down so tight. I am not a fan of niether driver and it appeared to be a part of racing to me. Of course, unlike the fans in the stands, we all had the privelidge of multiple replays from different angles. Would any other driver out there, given the bottom of the track, attempt to pass, I think so.
And sadly, my guy started 9th and finished 11th.

Not true.
Quote: Finally, with nine to go, Hamlin's tire gave up. He went high entering Turn 3, slowed, then stopped in Turn 4 to bring out the caution. NASCAR penalized him two laps for deliberately causing a yellowN, and Hamlin finished 24th, three laps down

Also, this nonsense that Busch is the best driver according to Despain??? Well, everyone is entitle to his/her opinion, but that don't make it a fact.
Despain compared Kyle to Dale Sr by saying Kyle is the most talented driver today just like Dale Sr was in his day. He also said Kyle had a reckless driving style just like Dale Sr. He said a 'Driver wearing black was good for the sport" and thought Kyle was that driver today as Dale Sr was in his day. He also said his thoughts would horrify the Earnhardt Nation.
