Cooked one of my favorite, simple crockpot recipes tonight....country-style boneless pork ribs with an envelope of Lipton's onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup over the top. Three simple ingredients and it turns out fantastic every time. Cook it on low around 6-8 hours. Serve it with some nice steamed rice or mashed potatoes and it makes a nice comfort meal.

I know....nothing extraordinary to brag about, but sometimes simple is nice.

Thanks! I love to start up the crockpot just before we pull out, so our dinner is ready when we stop.

No, we use the inverter.

How do you use an inverter to run your crockpot while traveling? Is it a 12V crockpot?

An Inverter converts 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC. When driving the alternator supplies the 12 volt to run the inverter so no loss to the battery(s). The crock pot is either plugged into the inverter or an outlet that is supplied by the inverter.
What you are thinking of is a "Converter" which when connected to 120 volt AC shore power supplies 12 volt DC.

I have had good results dumping half a small bottle of bar-b-que suace over the country ribs. Yours sounds like a great variation.

Both retired and enjoying the RV lifestyle. 1 year until son finishes college, then financial freedom! We recently lost Max, the Schnoodle after 16 wonderful years but now enjoy Nicklaus Von Schnoodle (Nicky), who is a puppy and a full time job.
