We are looking at a 2002 Jayco 305 BHS and would like opinions on this unit. Is there a Jayco Owners forum?

Can't speak for that particular one, but we did have a 1999 Jayco 298 RLS and liked it very well. The Jayco brand seems to be very well build in my opinion. Only problems we had were the board on the fridge went out and the safty sail switch on the furnace went bad in the 4 years we had it. These problems could have happened to any brand RV. Hope this helps.

we have the Jayco 30.5 BHS (2007) model with the L shaped bunks in the back. We have not had any trouble with ours. Tons of storage, good quality. We enjoy ours. Good luck and happy camping.

We have a 2000 Jayco Designer 3230K. Love it!!! Brought it new. Have never had any problems with it. We had 2 Jayco trailers prior to buying this and loved both of them. The Jayco is well constructed and the cabinetry to great. I supposed I shouldn,t say it to loudly, we're heading out tomorrow and don't want any problems with it. LOL!

Happy Trails.

We have the 05 305BHS and are happy with the floor plan but wish we had more room in the bedroom. The boys love the bunks and the rest of the space works great for us. Good Luck

Thanks for the replies. We made an offer and are just waiting on the dealer to let us know if the owner will accept it. Nothing like the anticipation of waiting to see if you get a new "toy".

We bought an '07 closeout a few months ago. Cannot wait to get out for our first trip... two and a half weeks and counting. I hope that they accept the offer!

Just got an email and they accepted our offer so we are very excited now. We drive up Friday to inspect the unit and if everything checks out, we will bring it home Friday night. This is a real blessing for us as we have had custody of our grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) for over 10 months now and it looks like we will have them permanently. We liked our current 5er, but, 24' gets pretty crowded with two adults, 17yo son, two grandchildren and one dog. I am sure that they will enjoy having their own little room.

We have owned an '06 BHS for 2 years now and are very happy with the quality of Jayco....that being said however...you will find out after time that this unit, as with most rear bunk ends, lacks the "livability" in the main living area. With only the couch and dinette to sit and watch TV it's not good for entertaining or relaxing in. Loads of storage space both inside and out, but no counter space...as with anything, when you gain one thing (sleeping capacity) you loose something else (lounge space). Our next 5ver (when the boys are on their own) will be a rear lounge model with a couple of lounge chairs and a more spacious feel with more windows. This problem prompted me to get a TV for the front bedroom...we have 3 TV's in this rig....just because there is no way for the whole family to lounge comfortably and watch a movie...just my 2 cents.
