Just a note to make a positive comment. I subscribe to the Good Sams Club Road Assistance Plan and had cause to use it last week. My Class C would not start after stopping for lunch. I had a feeling the battery was going bad after the last few starts. I figured I would drive to a national auto service center to replace it after I was jumped started. I called the toll free number and a mechanic arrived in about 30 minutes, jumped the battery and the RV started right up. While the mechanic was doing his paperwork, I noticed that he was a AAA authorized repair facility and sold AAA brand batteries. As a matter of fact, the rear of the van was loaded with new batteries. I asked him to check my battery to determine if it was in fact defective and whether it should be replaced. Sure enough, his meter showed that the battery was in poor condition. I asked about the cost of new battery installed and it seemed reasonable. He further explained that AAA warranties the battery 100% for 3 years and prorates it after that. The warranty is also honored nationwide by any AAA service facility. He installed the new battery, sprayed the connections with anti-corrosion spray and took the old battery for proper disposal. I was on our way and never got my hands dirty. I would recommend this service to all.

Which would you recommend AAA or GOOD SAM? OR both?
Sounds like a good deal on either.

I'm glad the GS ERS did such a good job for you! For us, it was the opposite, we cancelled the service and are trying Coach.net. Interesting about the AAA battery thing. Sounds like a great deal!

Happy Camping!

Hi: While I used and liked Good Sam when I was on the road a lot, I'm convinced--no matter which company provides the service--the quality of the experience rests more with the individual than the organization. Bill

We have Good Sam ERS, and on our old rig the batteries died while it was in storage. The battery disconnect had been pulled. We went to Interstate Batteries in Whittier, bought 3 12v batteries.

Called GS ERS, and had their mobile mechanic meet us in the leasing office parking lot for our RV Storage Facility, drove across the street and they put in all 3 batteries, haven't had a problem since with the any of the batteries, and the MM was $0.00.
