What would happen if you took your ATV to Arizona, got a proper license for it, turn signals and all, insurance for the road, and then started driving it to the supermarket in California?
Isn't every street legal, properly licensed and insured vehilce drivable on any street in the United States?
I know that they wanted to have the "Largest Parade" of ATC's in Quartzsite last winter. For a $10 entrance fee. . . . ATC's without on road regerstration could be unloaded at the fire station north of town, then be included in the parade. I think they where hoping for 5,000+ Atc's.

I would think you would need to be resident of Arizona, for starters.

Being a Quad rider and a resident of Florida, all I will say is the riders brought it on themselves. Just in our neighborhood alone we had at least a dozen ORV riders who broke every law on the books and challenged the Police all the time, adults riding on the roads, kids without helmets, no mufflers on the machines, riding on property clearly marked with no trespassing signs, etc. I could go on and on, but you can see why the state has had enough. It hurts all of us, but until we start policing our own ranks, the hammer is going to fall.
I hope Utah does pass that and the people follow the laws instead of trying to break them. I am in Idaho right now and we can ride them on the street here, if properly licensed.

That is true, and after some time, California will start getting on your case for continuing to drive a vehicle with an out of state registration if you are clearly a California resident.
Arizona used to have street legal registration for atv's many years ago, then did away with it, again many years ago. 3-wheelers were not allowed though, only quads or dirt bikes. I don't know any details about them now as I have been living in repressing Kalifornia for too many years.

I agree, from what I used to read on the atv boards I used to visit, there was a big problem in Florida with unruly atv'ers who were ruining everything for the majority. If the people can't act responsibly, then their privileges will be taken away. It's sad the few always ruin it for the many.
I would be happy if we could ride the ATV on the paved road from the campground to the fire road. I can ride my motorcycle, plated dual sport, but we have to trailer DWs Polaris X2.
