I forgot to ask this with my other question. I need suggestions for a campground close to Fresno for the 1st week of July. Thanks again for your help.

Not much in Fresno. I usually stay 30 minutes south in Visalia.

There are 3 county campgrounds that are dry camping only, 15-30 miles from Fresno. There is Millerton SRA which has some hookups, but you'll probably need reservations for the 1st week in July. It is HOT here and sites with electricity to run A/Cs are at a premium. Wish I had better news for you.

There are no safe RV parks in Fresno. Do not stay in the city. There's nothing that could even rate 1 star. Sorry for the bad news, but even Millerton is not a convenient drive. It will be 100+ around that time. Everybody here will be trying to get to the ocean or the mountains - or wishing they could.

We stayed at the KOA in Visalia last December -- very nice park.
Just a litle ways off of 99.
It will be hot but just use the old AC.

RE: Visalia KOA if travelling with dogs has one of the best 'doggie runs' of KOA's I've been in. Grassy -- well fenced -- my 3 loved it.

There is a place on the river I think it is just north of Freno. Might be just south. You have the river to jump in if your too hot.
