Has anyone had their tires SIPED? What were your results? I am mostly looking for a smoother ride and better traction. Didn't find much using the search feature.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

I had mine done on the last set of tires I bought. Boy are they quiet. and this last winter I had no trouble pulling people out of my yard, (I live on a hill and the ice was bad this year) I will do it again, that is get my tires siped. even the wifes car will get that done.

Used to sipe my tires on dirt track racers but never heard of it making ANYTHING smoother. Better traction, yes.

Have had three sets of tires siped by Discount tire. Over 50,000 miles on the 2nd set now. 1st set had 76,000+. Did this on a truck. Not sure how they would be on a RV. Live at 9,600ft., so I used the better traction a lot(mud & snow).Wife's suv is the 3rd set, 51,000 miles on hers. I always have them siped after I run them about 10-15,000 miles. I think I will try it on the Born Free this year. I have been told the tire runs cooler.

Check out winter Nokians. No need as they are siped from the factory.
