I have a 1999 Winnebago on a F53 chassis. What I need is the rubber boot that fits on the throttle body. The air intake tube fits into this boot. Ford wants to sell me a whole assembly that includes the air box boot, the tube and the boot I need. $185. It just burns me that they make you buy way more than you need.
Please no flaming, just help.

Might TRY some after market automotive parts stores but they probably sell only the assembly too. If they're not available there your pretty much down to salvage parts.
Well, I've called all the junk yards in the phone book, no luck. Seems that all the yards sell the throttle body boot with the engine and the engines are pulled and sold as soon as they hit the yard. The only yard that "thought" they had one sent me on a wild goose chase over hill and dale, to no avail. I've tried some of the national listed yards and still no help.
A. I may try to patch/repair the boot.
B. I may end up having submit to Ford's demands.
I got tired of trying to find a replacement for the boot, so I went to the auto parts store and bought a inner tube repair kit. Worked great, and the job is done.
