As a teenager, it was my annual job to re-web the chairs each spring - oh how I hated it! (Don't know which was worse, the clips or the screws)

I've seen rolls of the webbing at both Walmart and Home Depot.

I was just at Walmart the other day, didn't think of looking because like I said it's been awhile since they've sold those things, and so many new styles have been available since then. I wouldn't even bother looking at Home Depot. The stores around my area have a very limited selection on what they sell. From what I was told and have seen, if there isn't much demand for something they won't sell it. If it isn't related to home improvment, they don't carry it. Signs of the time.

I've been wanting some of the chairs because they're so lightweight. Anyone know where I can get a couple? Thanks.
That's why I'd like to keep these, and they fold up so nicely. It's been years since I've seen these sold in stores anywhere.

I was at a hardware/lumberyard the other day and they had them. Almost bought a couple myself.

Thanks, I'll start looking at the hardware stores.

If you are the crafty type, you can substitute macrame (remember that stuff?) for the webbing. I think there might have been a posting somewhere here about that, but if you google 'macrame lawn chairs' you will find several links that have patterns and instructions. Really makes a personalized chair, and probably more durable than the webbing.

A macrame lawn chair? I'm sorry--I almost laughed. Actually they probably would be pretty comfy, but I have never seen or heard of one. I didn't know they existed!

I just purchased some at Walmart last week, but it was out in the garden section by some chairs.

Don't laugh too hard. My parents made me one with a Raiders logo. It was a sad day when the frame broke. I still have it. I just cannot seem to throw it away.
