Do ya'll put your table down while traveling or leave it up? When we did our walk thru service guy said you could leave it up but he preferred to put it down in the bed position to keep it from sliding.
Thanks Dean

We have left ours up and had no Issues(it has two post that are mount to the floor), We usually pack the sleeping bags under it and the pillows on the seats,It help keeps everythnig in place. And the stuff helps keeping the table from vibrating around.

Ours is on 2 posts, so we leave it up. However, if it was free standing, I'd close it up, but that's just me.

Never have taken our's down.
One less thing to deal with and should not be an issue once seated.

The table will walk around the cabin banging into things if it's not in the bed position. Ours will anyway! The gas grill (in the stylish shipping container) fits nicely underneath on the road.
I'd to the same thing with a post-model as I think the road-vibration would be significant and loosen or otherwise damage the mounts. Folks with these post models can supply first hand data, though.

The dual post tables stay in position unless you encounter some extremely bad roads, meaning severe potholes or other kinds of bumps.Only once in over 4o years of RVing did our table come down, and that was last week when we hit a horriffic pothole (bad enough to blow a TT tire and bend the rim).

I left my freestanding table up once. When I arrived at the cg the table was on it's end against the cabinets.

As above, I have a free standing table, I left it up once and it vibrated over against the cabinets. That was the last time. I have since put it down, covered it with a tarp and I put the kids boxes of toys (per DW) on the table and it works great....no worries.

Ours is also freestanding. We left it up on the way home from picking it up and found it waled and hit the cabinets. Luckily no damage was done. That is the last tiime it will be up while moving.
