Wanted to share that we have experienced a wonderful campground called The South Forty Camp Resort off of Hwy 95 (exit 41). What a lovely place. Extremely nice staff, in a natural woodsy environment, very quiet. They are in the perfect location to visit Fort Lee, The Battlefields, Historic Petersburg etc. It is a good stopping point and on personally we love the convenience of pull-thru sites. Super-Walmart is only 6 miles away but very convenient. They do have a nicely stocked store in the office for quick needs. There is also an Italian Restaurant on the corner (walking distance) that opens at 5 PM that seems very popular with everyone.

Be sure to post a review on RVParkreviews.com. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I've passed the exit many times enroute elsewhere and always wondered as I passed. Thank you for sharing.

Stayed the a couple of times while traveling I-95. Great place for a stop over and the Restaurant is very convenient if your tired and looking for a good meal.

It does have fantastic reviews on rvparksreview posted but I did forget to mention the wifi and the fishing lake where you can fish for free.
They do not charge extra for children either-there is a pool there too.
Really have heard positive things from others while there as well.

Same here; we stayed there when it was a KOA.
