We don't like hearing people's music in the campground, but have come to accept the fact that it's just something we're going to have to put up with.
This past Saturday, in the afternoon and evening, we could hear, clearly, rap, rock & roll, and country, simultaneously. All of this music was coming from across the cove - about 1/8 mile away. Late in the evening those groups had shut it down.
New, loud music started from another campsite across the cove. it was ZYDECO!!! This music played until 11:30 p.m. Now, Oklahoma is a long way from the bayou! Now we've heard it ALL!

RVers know no boundaries.
But people should be aware of just how far sound carries and be considerate enough to adjust their sound level accordingly.

Should be and reality are to totally different things. Many folks couldn't give two hoots about their fellow human beings.

If they don't care at home, why would we expect them to care in a campground?

When DW and I have anything making sounds for our enjoyment, I walk the outside perimeter of our campsite. If I can hear it I turn it down.

I want people to have a good time and enjoy themselves. However, it seems that today we live in times when respect and courtesy just don't count. I have a neighbor who uses his house for weekends and his teenage boys like to throw parties with loud music. I couldn't take it anymore and we made a deal. He tells me a week in advance and I take the trailer out for the night or the weekend. Works great. It gives me the opportunity to do some boondocking.
This is another reason we moved out of Monterrey (3.5 million people) and to the country. Now we are moving even further south and farther away from the noise. Sounds terrible, but I like it when the electricity goes out . Thank goodness for boondocking!

Some people are just too sensitive. This weekend I only had my banjo out along with my fifteen 20" woofers and somebody came over to complain.
I guess some people just dont like banjos.

Wish I had been there. Have not herd good Cajun music in a long time.
But sound does carry across water very well.
