Well we had a good rain this last weekend and a little water got in and dripped down on my head of all places so I guess I need to have the roof re caulked. Is this something I can do my self or is it a pain and be left to the pros? If I can do it my self is there good set of directions on the net somewhere and what type of caulking is the best?
Thanks in advance.

Its not that hard but (a) put on some eternabond and be done with it and (b) carefully check out the area inside and outside - the leak may have been there for awhile and just working its way through - you might have to open it up for some repair work.

Can you expound on the eternabond. Which kind should I get? Any special preparation needed? What is the process of installation?

Its a tape you put over seams. Numerous threads here if you do a search. My big problem area and I suspect yours since you noticed it in bed is where the front cap meets the roof. I'd caulk it but after awhile I guess with motion and vibration it would open up again. Hasn't been a problem (fingers crossed here) since putting on the eternabond. You can pick up info and in fact watch a video of how to do it on their web site http://www.eternabond.com/

Greg,
How often should a roof have to be sealed? My TH is an 2005 model and the dealer is checking it Monday and I bet $$$$ he says is needs it. I just am new and have no idea how often one should be done.
Thanks
