You are "THE MAN" (or woman whichever the case may be) Willis! Headed that way in about 2 weeks, hope you have ALL of the signs down by then.

Have a great trip, the latest discovered signs were quite inconspicuous located, probably for good reason (one sign in the workers parking lot) to legally say they were complying with the law. I'd say they were there for a long time. Anyway if a sign quotes the reason as being the Tourist Accommodation act, well don't worry about it as you can't be charged under that act anyway. No one will bother you. In 2006 we did a tour of the Fundy and South shores, about a week. We overnighted at Wal Marts every night, next to the no overnighting signs which were very conspicuous and no one bothered us. (We weren't the only ones). BTW those signs have been removed.

Cheers Willis

Hi All,

Just a note to say that the legislation to repeal the Nova Scotia Tourist Accommodations Act was NOT passed by the legislature. The Tourist Accommodations Act, including the provision banning RVers from parking anywhere except licensed private and public campgrounds, is still the 'law of the land'. I put additional information on my website: www.geocities.com/cornwaab .

I hope everyone is having a good summer. The cost of gas here is about $5.25 per US gallon. OUCH!

Hi Andy, yah! I guess Li'l Rodney is scared to call the legislature as the opposition seems to be gunning for him and his flunkies. The legislation did pass first reading but has two more readings before it can enacted. I seriously doubt that the legislation to repeal will survive when the Gov't falls as it is sure to do in the next sitting. But I've been wrong before. Well to the best of my knowledge we got the infamous signs taken down eh!

Cheers
Willey

What is the cost of diesel fuel there today? We're headed there next month.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that. If anyone else comes across any of these signs quoting the NS Tourism act please let me know.
I'll create another blow up for this one to see how long it takes to get the signs taken down. It also gives me a chance to complain about the "Atlantic Shopping Center" sign in New Glasgow that I've been meaning to complain about.

BTW theres a basic dump at the Irving Mainway TCH 104 Exit 25

Have a great trip enjoy NS

Just remember, it's always wise to pull over and make sure you have enough sleep and won't fall asleep at the wheel.
