After 15 years, it still amuses me....my always indoor kitty loves to be chased around from room to room.
If I am busy on this forum, she will sit there by the door and shake her head in this funny way. I know what that means...so I get up and wiggle my fingers at her -- and off she goes! And I mean she tears off and zigs and zags around furniture.
Crazy kitty. If I stop the game too soon, she will come back and fetch me.
What's your story?

My 15 year old Persian sits on the arm of the couch and bats at my face till I pet her. LOL it cracks me up! She also plays hard to catch. Plays dead, when you pull her tail and wants 5-6 snacks before bed time. She has a perfectly good feeder but likes 6 pieces of food put on the floor instead. The kitty owns me, I don't own her.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff!!
One of our cats LOVES to drink water out of the master bath faucet...she just started this new behavior after we moved here in February. She has lived in two other homes with us and never begged for faucet water. Now I know that it's not that unusual for cats to want fresh running water, but the way she drinks is pretty funny. Blanca puts her head in the small stream of water I turn on and it sort of runs over her forehead and into her mouth. She will drink her fill and then jump down and shake like crazy. Pretty silly!!

My little girl drags her "buddies", different lengths of strings she plays with; from the family room to her food dish. Each string is drawn to the dish and then she starts putting each one IN the dish. About once a week or so we put the strings back in the family room and the process stars all over again. She has been doing that since she was a kitten eight years ago. Of course, she hasn't sworn off little mice either!

My kitty Jesse refuses to drink out of the water dish on the floor which is perfectly ok for everyone else, I have an old glass coffee mug that I fill with cold water and 1 ice cube and that's hers.
Yup...cats have staff and I'm it, at least for Jesse.
Also today, I bought him a little collar, trying to get him used to it and then the harness, so I put it on him, he freaked, he took off, and later he returned without the collar on...and I can't find it.

One of my siamese drags strings around like Sirdrakejr's previous post and she cries as she drags them to me. Her sister just rolls out the paper towels on the counter and fluffs them around to make a bed for herself.

Butterscotch is our first retriever kat. He waits 'til you sit on the throne, then arrives with a catnip mouse, drops it at your feet, waits patiently until you toss it (the further, the better), then retrieves and drops it at your feet again. This can go on forever. Wonder if that poor lady stuck to her toilet seat had a cat?

Lucy loves to smell her people's breath. Really close up! I think she likes to be reassured it's really her people (we're not her original ones; got her at age 2).
She also likes to put her toys - whether little fake mice, balls, string, rubber bands, what-have-you - in her water dish. I guess she thinks her pets need water. I can't convince her they have no need of it!

we have one that that wont drink water from a bowl he dips his paws in it and then licks the water off .we were wondering why the water kept getting dirty so fast till we seen him do it.its the only way he will drink now,he puts his paw in the food bowl and takes a piece out and eats it and selects only certain pieces or colors or shapes that appeal to him i guess of mixed dry food that he likes and leaves the rest.

Our 17 lb Sassy chases Lexa(our 9 lb dog) and likes for her to chase her back. She will come running through the living room and into our bedroom then go to the door and stare at Lexa. Then she will run back into the bedroom and hide under the bed till Lexa runs in there then they will come running back out with the cat chasing the dog. She will also decide that my youngest DS is not allowed in his own room and will block the door. She will jump up and grab his fanny if he tries to go by or step over her.
