I am looking towards new tires for the TV and I came across a great deal on some retreaded tires, so would you run the retreads? The guy warranties them to 2/32. But that really doesn't matter in the middle of a trip and you get a "detread"!

Absolutley NOT!! I cummute 110 miles a day on the highway and all i see are the big rig retread all over the place. I wouldn't trust retreads on anything i drive. That would ruin your TV, TT and your day when one of them blows off.

STAY AWAY FROM RETREADS AT ALL COST... I have been driving trucks for a long time, retreads are not acceptable for smaller trailers. Just my opinion

I did not think anyone did retreads anymore except for the big rigs. Remember when I was a kid there were a few retread shops in town that did automotive tires as well as big rig tires.

Never where my family was concerned. Have put them on an "in town" truck but never on the highway.

I have run Treadwright's caps (formerly High Tech Retreading) for several years...I'm on my third set on 2 different trucks (currently LT265/75R16E), I know several people who run them (including my wife). I will never run anything else. They are that good.

on the around town car i would, but not for over the highway hi speed travel.i have used them in the past with no problems at all.but most of the time the price is so close to new its not worth it.its the prolonged high speed highway travel that the problems start.

You can not run retreads on the front so why bother.
