we had problems finding something in Los Mochis last year - the one and only park gave us the creeps as for area and lack of Rvs.
we also got into Mexico well before Christmas and found empty spaces everywhere. There was nearly no RV traffic on the roads (we went as far as Mazatlan at that time). traffic seemed to increase greatly after Christmas
