We had all of the recalls performed at the closest Jayco dealer with no fuss, confusion or issues. The motorhome was back to us within a week and 1/2.
There are many factors involved in recalls. One is the Manufacturer (Jayco in this issue)does not know which dealer will perform the services and how many, so they do not want to ship a lot of parts out to the dealers, and one dealer only use a small portion of the parts and another dealer runs out of parts. Here in Florida the RV population skyrockets during the winter months, so the dealers in this area would logically perform more recall service than in the northern section during that time. That is just an example.
Depending on the supply of the parts available and when the dealer requests the part determines the speed in which the dealer gets the warranty replacement part.
You would be surprised the number of Rv owners that will not take their RV in for recall, or they will be mechanically sophisticated enough to anaylze and fix the problem themselves.
All in all life is too complicated. Add an RV into the mix and life is more than twice as complicated.
