Geocaching...its treasure hunting that has gone technical and online. People place 'booty' all over the world, desert, and cemeteries. Go to www.geocaching.com and check it out. Its great fun to check to see what cache will be in the area you are camping or dirt bike riding. You need a GPS, but other than that, its a great way to spend time with the kids and connect with other cachers! Our 7 and 3 year old boys love it.
Have fun, in the dirt!

We do it most every time we go out, it gives you a destination and can be a little tricky at times. It is alot of fun and the kids really enjoy it. There are 50+ in the Ocotillo riding area alone. Not to many at spot X.

We've been 'caching for years. Even have a cache hidden somewhere on our property... Recommend Garmin Legend as the best value GPS. Geocaching.com only downloads to Garmin units.

DW and I have been caching for a little over a year. It adds a little adventure to our camping trips. We also use the Garmin Legend.

Just started Geocaching. Got started after going on a search with fellow RV.NET'ers. I like doing the searches. Takes you to places that yoou would not normally visit. It can be difficult at times. I made several visit to a Air Museum in Mesa, AZ trying to find a cache. Did not find it. Will have to try again next year.

Don't feel bad we couldn't find that one either. In fact we have a hard time finding a lot of them in Mesa.
272 caches found in 5 different states! We love it.

Guess I really do need to get dh a gps for father's day. We will be in mammoth area over july (fishing at Tom's Place). Sounds like something to entertain the kids and me.
