Actually, a lot of the issues that us little guys are asking about are discussed in the Boondocking forum -- so maybe that is a better area for us? After all, if you don't do much dry camping, a small trailer is a lot like a larger trailer in an RV park. (Other than the fact that they never give us the nice pull through slots and they make us back up and then they laugh when we botch the parking job on our squirrelly little single axle trailer and our wife is disgusted. Other than that, we are just like the big guys.)

People, People, People!!! Why do you always read something into a topic that isn't there I said I would monitor the post and see what happens - I didn't say it was a dead issue... When I created the sub-forum for Vintage trailers there were 30-40 replies or more asking for the sub group... As of this writing I don't see that level of activity so maybe you should look at other member's signatures and see what they are towing and send them a PM asking them to post for the forum...

One of the reasons I want to make it a sub-category is that I can Moderate it... Creating an entirely new forum that would require another Moderator or asking one of our existing Mods to carry a heavier work load would stand little chance of being created as we're spread pretty thin right now in the Moderator area and we're coming into our busy season with all the camping activity and even the Mods taking vacations and us filling in for one another including our own forums as well as those on vacation... Additionally, as you all know we are having forums difficulties and even if I ask, it may be some time before the request can be accommodated because of freezing new tasks until forum issues are solved...

All I ask is that you keep it honest... If there is interest I'll see if I can get the sub-forum created... If there isn't enough interest then we won't do it... Given that we have 200,000+ members I would expect to see more than the 14 requests that I just counted... I can't justify it on 14 requests folks

Oh and folks - NO BUMPING!!! It is frowned upon by Moderators and Administration... Why??? because as Essie has said the posts roll off the first page after a while... If you continually bump without contributing to the topic, some other persons topic will get rolled off to the second page unfairly... Please don't bump - I've already deleted a number of bump posts and if I see it from here on in, I'll lock the thread down - OK?? - I gave fair warning...

So - - I'll continue to monitor the thread and we'll see what happens...

The original reason for creating this site was for Shadow Cruiser campers, but many manufacturers now make the same or similar floorplans. I'd love it to include ALL small lightweight campers. Check it out!

I think having 14 people interested in a small trailer forum is a lot considering topics fall off the first page really quickly. Unless people come in every day they are going to miss lots of topics. I also think a lot of people with little trailers lose interest and leave.

I agree, Essi2Go. And, I think with gas prices ratcheting up, more people will be interested in small travel trailers.... not just those of us who already own them, but those who are considering downsizing for practicality. I'd love to see a category for the 21' and under group....

The View Tally is 2000+ now.
Hoping that this warrants a high interest heads-up.

The lightweight trailer forum at
Lightweight Trailer Forum
as mentioned by the moderator ScubaJoe is very nice. Though it isn't really a hive of activity yet, a number of folks are checking it out. Why not do so yourself?

I am for a small trailer forum. I think anything smaller than 25 foot would qualify. We own a 2003, 19 foot aerolite. We used to have a 15 foot Scamp. I miss it. The Aerolite seems like a mansion in comparison. But my wife needs the large fridge.
