Don't know that we've done this long enough to have a favorite but we have enjoyed summers in Maine, Wyoming's Wind River Range, and Wisconsin. We have wintered in Florida (way too pricey for our budget) and Quartzsite/Yuma/The Slabs (will probably do that again).

Hi,

These all sound like wonderful destinations. Do ya'll work in your summer and winter locations? I'm an x-ray tech, not quite ready or financially able to retire yet. But hopping here and there wouldn't work for long on a resume. Trying to figure out a way to be able to afford this lifestyle before retirement.

Late spring, summer, and early fall between DC and Boston area visiting three daughters and five granddaughters. The rest of the time here and there with longer stays at Alamo in Rio Grande Valley Texas and Caliente Springs Resort near Desert Hot Springs, CA. Both places have great people and a lot of local interest.

Well if I had my choice which i don't his summer due to family issues so far it would be Oregon in the summer and the central or southern coast of Calif. during the winter. Most of the time the coast in winter is sunny in the mid 60 or more and never freezes.
