We are headed down next Weds. for a long weekend. Looking at the Sat. map it looks like Jetty Road run out to the beach. Do they allow 4x4's on the beach????
Would love to take the fishing gear up near Merrell's Inlet.

Either way, cannot wait!!!!!

There is a public beach and public walking access, but you cannot drive your vehicle onto the beach. There are miles of biking trails though. We are headed there for the July 4th weekend. I also cannot wait. You will enjoy the park. I don't know if it's true or not but I heard that they paved all the CG roads over the winter. That would be the only thing I would have changed. It was quite dusty last year when we were there.

We spent the day at the beach 2 weeks ago and the campground was paved. Sorry no motorized vehicles allowed on the beach! You will have a great time!

No ORV's on the beach. A great CG, however. You will enjoy it.

We absolutely love Huntington!! Very relaxing time when we were there in October! The water was still warm enough to enjoy and there wasn't a huge crowd. The sites of Myrtle Beach was a short drive away and the Gardens across the street were AMAZING!!!

We will be back many times in the future.

Can't use 4x4 on the beach. There's a bike trail that runs in the woods but parallel to the highway and goes to Merrills Inlet. I never saw a 4x4 on it, but you might want to ask. Beautiful park.

Good luck.......................jim
