I thought the facilities at Cedar Point were fine also. I wouldn't stay there except to visit the park. To avoid trafice and get in early, it's great. Add the price of parking and it helps to narrow the gap. The pools were great but the bathroom facilites were too small (not enough). Its not camping, more like bringing your hotel room with you.
An added benefit was to be able to take a break in the middle of the day. I would stay there again no problem.
I also recommend staying at Camper's Village. We stayed in the "old" section, which is no where near as bad as the reviews make it out to be. Next year we're planning on going again and we want to stay closer to the hot tub! Nice after all that walking! Oh, and to comment on the early entry, thats the only way to get on the "hot" rides. In our case, Top Thrill Dragster. We were almost at the front of the line, which never gets short, even when the ride isn't running.
