Its hard saying what it will look like in the future. There may in fact be miles of multiple use trails including ATV's. What the Sierra Club did though was guarantee that you wont see it broken up into 20 acre investment tracts with dirt roads criss-crossing and no trespassing signs everywhere you look. If the ranch was broken up into 20 acre tracts like some around here seem to be suggesting you would end up with nothing. Arizona has plenty of development like that and here in Washington state where Plum Creek Timber has started selling their timber tracts off to private landowners "No Trespassing" signs are becoming common place. I suspect Tejon Ranch saw the handwriting on the wall and the days of 5, 20, and 40 acre parcels are over and future development will consist of denser clustered developments with all the services necessary to support a community.

who knows a lawyer that off-roads?
I have a good friend who is a desert racer and a lawyer. He has been working on fighting the EPA on their quest to shut down Squaw Valley development. He's a great guy and a hell of a rider. He doesn't race much anymore, but he always does the BITD Vegas to Reno.

The Sierra Club is against open grazing just as they are against OHV use. I could list hundreds of efects that the SC deems unacceptable for land use. These ranchers that you speak of will be on the chopping block sooner than later.
