Has anyone stayed at Family Affair Campground? Any suggestions on campgrounds in the area that are clean and family orientated? Any suggestions on sight seeing in the area also are needed.

Thanks,
Al

Al, spend a day at Presque Isle, best beaches on the great lakes IMHO. Waldameer amusement park at the entrance road to PI. Drive state st. down to the public dock, Visit the Brig Niagara, and have a great vacation. Most of my side of the family lives in Erie, we left in 81 to live in Texas.

happy campin

Look into Erie KOA. We stayed there last year and liked it very much. Many activities for the kids, nice sites and about a ten minute drive to Presque Isle.

Yes I second Preque Island. It is awesome to swin in a body of water that big and it not be the ocean. My daughter went to Merceyhurst College for summer fine arts classes and we went to Presque Island on 3 occasions and also visited the Niagra and had lunch and dinner on the lake front that Summer. Nice town.

The fam and I had a great time at Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park in February 2008. We were there in the dead of winter, during a 3 day snowstorm so we only got to visit the lake once during a break in the storms, but the Island did look like a great place. It also looked like they were building a cool roller coaster at the Waldemeer Amusment Park. We will be going back.
