Hey guys, the DS and I tent camped with the scouts, that is until 2:00am when the storms cranked up. We were about 15 minutes from home so we bailed out and went back Sunday morning to get our stuff. We had a great time, though. We had some really rough storms this past weekend here.

Nancy, they are camping at Gettysburg Campground, several miles away from Granite Hill. They are holding an RV.Net group gathering at the CG. Not sure which sites they are camped in.

Here are some more details !

Had a great weekend camping at the Shelby/Mansfield Ohio KOA over Mother's Day weekend. The campground had many activities for kids and moms only.

With my girlfriend in Missouri I headed out solo on my first trip to Lake Perris, CA. I had one neighbor 50' away with a HUGE newfoundland dog. Besides them there were no other campers within a 1000' of us. Came home early though, the weather was really overcast and blah!. Luckliy too I was able to walk 50' from my site and actually get cell phone reception to call mom and grandma.

Thanks,
Dave

I always ask my family to take me camping for Mothers day. This year we made reservations for El Capitan SB we reserved the group site. When all of our friends heard we were camping they all wanted to come along. We had the group site packed for the weekend and had beautiful beach weather. When we got home on Sunday my husband and kids took me out to dinner and then to see Iron Man at the movies.

I am soooooo jealous...it was pretty nice here (CO) on Sunday but Sat. was horrible. COLD with high winds. It would not have made for a nice weekend to camp.

Can't wait till Memorial Day..it will be our first time this season for camping!

HAPPY CAMPING!!

We went to the Fort Summit KOA for Mother's Day weekend(gotta love that free night they do every year), and took the shuttle in to Epcot Mother's Day. The Disney folks were handing out carnations to all the Moms and saying happy Mother's Day all day. A very busy and hectic weekend seeing 2 theme parks in 2 days...we loved it, but missed the laid back mornings we usually have when camping....drinking coffee and playing games until ten or eleven.

Regards and belated Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms.
