I have The Choice Protection Plan, Supreme, (7)yr, (70K)miles with (1) year done. Now that the warranty is primarily over, went back to review the fine print on what's covered & not covered and finding it difficult in determining what I would be in for.

Has anyone actually received long term benefits from this particular vendor and what has been your experience?

Another issue which I read is the preventive maintenance that must take place on a regular basis. It's clear that "refer to your maintenance manuals and must be provided by a business regularly engaged in the service business with receipts to prove" is a requirement and again I'm curious as to:

1) exactly what needs to be serviced, specifically
2) what has been the vendor response when filing a claim where maybe
that specific item was either late in servicing or skipped.

I'm thinking about cancelling when all is added up but will be keeping this MH for probably another (7) years and maybe this is worth it if the vendor is truly reliable.

My Dad had Good Sams extended warranty, and altho I don't really believe in them, he got his moneys worth a couple of times! Things like hydralic slide out pump replacement, the roof A/C, etc were replaced for a small deductable, with no arguments.

Ask the folks who will be servicing your rig if they accept to deal with the warranty outfit for repairs.

I know that in my case, my terrific-to-deal-with service center told me that the warranty company I had was "somewhat special" to deal with.

I can only tell you that any repair I had to do was excluded in the fine print, leading me to believe that I should be "perfectly satisfied" because I got EXACTLY what I paid for.

Most of the time you get ripped off twice 1 when you pay for it next time when they say they don't cover that you pay again, myself I took the money put it into a savings and got some where around 3,600 or more and when I need it fixed I need not ask some one else to pay for repair and be turned down. But thats my oppion because I did have one on my car and the insurance never paid a dime and that money went down the drain.

I've used mine a few times but it is far from paying for itself. I had one on a Ranger pick up and they lost money on me because I had several items worked on over the years. They even paid for a rental while a warranty item was worked on. Near the end of the 100,000 miles they did deny one thing because it was intermitant and it wouldn't occur while their inspector was there even though it did for the repair shop when he wasn't there. But, while the shop had it another item was discovered and they did cover that. I may have paid $1300-$1500 for it (including interest) but I got several hundred dollars more in "free" repairs.

Always remember that extended warranties are sold because it is profitable for the seller of the warranty. It's a gamble and they nearly always win the bet.
