Has anyone stayed at the Tampa South RV Resort? What are your thoughts?

I've never heard of Tampa South. I have stayed at Tampa East. Many full timers and snowbirds consisting of lots of Canadians ( socially warm )and French Canadians ( many were socially cool ). I4 and all kinds of activity's and shopping are within minutes to less than a hour away. The campground operators run the place very loosely. Not gated. Medium size sites with full 50 amp hookups on most. You can wash your camper at your site. We found the place quite at night. We didn't feel warm and fuzzy about the campground, but it was ok. We would camp there again.

How soon do you need to know? Reason for asking is we are staying there next Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17. We are going there with friends that live just north of Tampa. They go there often for weekend get-aways and say they love the place. We can report on our experience there next Sunday night. Hope this might help.

I live nearby -- this place was taken over by new owners a couple of years ago and they have been working to fix it up-- it had been pretty run down, but now is in good shape. It is right on US41 and the sites are close to each other. If you can , get a riverfrnt site. Anything else you would like to know ?

Sorry, but we won't be able to give a review just yet. We had some last minute issues come up and had to cancel our plans for the weekend. Maybe we will get to go there in June or July and be able to give you a report then.

Sorry to hear you had to change your plans. If you stay there later this year I would like to hear what you think. Thanks.
