I have a 2 year old Cougar and have tried to keep up on the wax and regular wash of the rig... maybe I should have waxed it every month. The fiberglass front of the 5er gets direct sunlight, and the edges of the decals / stickers are starting to lift up (only here so far). Anyone find a way to stop or reatatch them before it gets worse? I was thinking maybe there is some 3M product that could be painted behind and then lay the edges that are lifting back down? Any other ideas? Kinda' a bummer. I thought maybe I would get at least 5 years or more with the wax and ProtectAll inbetween...

Heck I bought a 2002 keystone in 2003 NEW leftover and the stickers were peeling..but I see that in all brands..

maybe take them off before it really is noticeable when they finally have to come off....

I think some Wax has a bad effect on the decals....I just took mine off except for the lower stripe. Looks a lot better IMO.

We have a Montana and the "owners manuel" does not recommend waxing decals as
the wax will oxidize and cause the decals to fade and crack. I use a vinal
protectant on the decals and never wax them. Hope this helps in the future.

I use Aerospace 303 on my fiberglass siding as well as the striping on the 5er as well as the front cap, they are holding up good. crb

I have only waxed the whole rig once but do the front about every 4 months and have noticed that some of the graphics there are starting to show signs of cracking,etc.. I usually wash the rig with either Turtle wash and wax or the gold stuff that I can get at Costco sometimes and am having no problems with the rest of the graphics..I was using a real expensive Carnuba wax that I bought for my old BLACK Suburban as it seemed to be the only stuff that didn't melt off of it in the summer..Now I'm only using dish soap on the whole rig and it really does a good job..I have also found that all the stuff you use for black streaks tend to remove the wax also..I'm gonna try the Lava soap in a sock that was suggested in Trailer Life last month..

Waxing might be the problem. An automotive wax with distillate solvents will dissolve the glue under the vinyl, from the edges in.
