Considering the purchase of a new Phaeton but have a few concerns.
1. Has anyone had any experience with Paulsbo Rv in Kent, WA. I know that Paulsbo doesn't have the best reputation at some dealerships but haven't heard anything about tne Kent dealer.

2. The unit under consideration has real tile flooring. Should I be concerned about that amount of weight?

3. It is a ultra low sulphur diesel cummins engine. Should I worry about availability and cost as compared with other diesel fuel.

4. The unit has electric jacks and slides as apposed to hydraulics that I have with my present coach.

I have a 2007 40' Phaeton with tile and the electric Atwood jacks. A recent thread on our Tiffin owners website tiffinrvnetwork.com (check it out....easy registration process and free)polled owners about the HWH hydraulics and electric Atwoods. The conclusion was Atwood owners are very satisfied...me included...even if prior motorhome experience was with HWH. Both companies get good marks on customer support and service. The Atwoods are a cost savings vs the HWH "upgrade". As to the weight of tile, my 40' Phaeton has plenty of reserve capacity on both front and rear axles even with full fuel 1/2 water and all our stuff. The tile floor has been a nice feature, and I would definitely do it again.

I love the tile in my 04 Phaeton. You don't need to worry about the ULSD, that's all that is going to be available soon. Don't worry about the jacks and slides either, you won't have any trouble with them. I can't say anything about your dealer, but Tiffin has a stellar reputation when it comes to standing behind their product.

Check out the new upgrades on the 09, you may want to wait for it. There are a lot of improvements but I don't know if there is a price increase or not.

We had some work done on our rv at the dealer you are talking about. Not a good experience.

I bought a new Winnebago in 2003 from that dealer. I had the usual repeat visits to fix a few items. No problem.

I have an 08 36QSH and so far I am very happy. The Cummins ISC engine is GREAT in that light weight 36 coach. Remember the axles and entire chassis for the 36 are the exact same ones as for the 40' Phaeton so you will have a lot of reserve. I think mine is over 4000lbs even after water and fuel.

All new engines today 08 and 09s will require the ULSD fuel so dont worry too much. I have not had issues yet. Once in a while I have to go to the next truck stop to find it but generally they have a few ULSD lanes and a few LSD lanes.

Go for it !! Its a great coach.
