Another Weber fan. I've owned a bunch of cheapies, and the investment in a Weber is cheaper in the long run. I have the 100 due to size and storage. If I had a big fifth wheel with more storage space, I'd get the 200.

We have a Weber Baby Q 100. Have had it 2 years and have done a lot of cooking on it. I have cooked two slabs of spare ribs at a time by overlapping a little. All our friends use also use the Baby Q's and love them.

The color scheme must depend on where you live. Here the red is more expensive. But it has the folding X leg stands. We haven't used ours yet, but our friends love theirs, which is why we bought it.

fla-gypsy wrote: You will get many good reviews for the Weber Q grills. I just recieved a Weber Q200 as a gift and I have to say I was impressed with the build quality. It is a Tad heavy for a portable due to the cast iron grate.
I have the same model and I agree that it's heavy. With only two people, I would opt for the 100 because of its little smaller size and weight, or split for the cart to wheel it on.
That said, the "Q" is as good as compact gas grills get, IMHO.

Easy to clean.
I used to use one of the cheap ones and replace it every year. If you buy a Weber you will never go back to the cheap ones.

Webber BabyQ 100, but it had some problems at first. I fixed it!
The burner is stainless steel and this is a good thing, very rugged.
The holes were not large enough and would not allow enough gas to burn for a good hot grill.
I drilled out each hole to 1/16 inch. This allowed enough gas to bring the temperature to 500F.
I also drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the cover near the handle and installed a thermometer. The Q200 has one already.
Another caveat is that the grill will not come up to temperature unless the gas is attached to the regulator for at least 15 minutes before you turn it on. I leave the 20 lb. tank connected all the time and the valve open to prevent this condition.
I varied this with Webber.
The grill has been working fine ever since I did the modification to the burner, about 2 years ago. I use it almost every day. I'm a full timer.
I love this grill, its strong, and cooks well.

I just bought a Weber Q100 from Amazon for $125 with no tax and free shipping. I got it in 3 days. It was the cheapest I could find at the time. It's a very nice compact BBQ that we plan to use with the new 5th wheel.

Got the Weber Q220 and love it. It is bigger than the Q120, but both cook excellent. I agree, once you have the quality of a Weber you won't go back to the cheapies.
