on our trip to Huntington Beach State Park, I was lucky enough to get 2 flats at one time. I had a blowout on the left rear tire and when I went to pull off the highway, I ran over a piece of metal that blew out the right rear tire. I limped up to the next exit on the 2 remaining tires (front axle). Did not have roadside assistance, so carefully drove to a WalMart that was about 4 miles up road.
They only had a passenger radial that was close, so I got 2 mounted.
Now I am home and will need to get tires.
where do I find ST-Radial tires for my trailer and should I just replace all 4 tires now ?
the trailer is a 2002, so I assume I am about at the life expectancy of the tires anyways.
any suggestions for a good tire brand ?
also, any suggestions of what to do or who to call in the event of another dual blowout would be appreciated.

Some recommend that when you replace a blown tire, you also replace the other one on the same side. It has been overloaded carrying the load of two tires. In your case that would say you need to replace both.
Factoring the age of the tires would seem to make that a good idea. You would be starting fresh and not have to worry about the front two going in a year or so. Sometimes the agrravation of replacing tires is as bad as the cost.

1st of all glad to hear you were able to get things done without damage and safetly. On a 03 trailer thats 5 years old tires. Yes I would change all 4.

Yes, change all 4 to a proper ST tire and then keep the two radial as your spares! My wife swears I am Murphy's reincarnation so we carry dual spares too. In reality, the chances of simultaneous flats with multi-axle trailers is more common than you might think.
Anyway, you can generally get wheel and tire combinations, already mounted, for usually only a few dollars more than what you pay for R&R on your original wheels.
In these parts, you won't find a typical tire dealer with decent ST choices in-stock. The trick is to look in the yellow pages and find a trailer dealer, not an RV-type dealer because they tend to gouge, but a regular trailer dealer (i.e., utility, cargo, hauler). Also, I've had nothing but terrific service from www.tiresunlimited.com.

Yes, replace all four. Our trailer is 5 years old and I just put 4 new Goodyear Maraton tires on it last week. Our first trip is in two weeks and a week after that we will put 8,000 miles on the trailer. So better be safe than sorry.

Yes replace all 4 tires...but instead of replacing with an ST tire ever consider replacing them with an LT tire?....many have done this (myself included) and have not had a problem since...

Just a question about what everyone paid for the tires? I have an 06 and hopefully (knocking on wood) I will not have to replace for at least another two years. I am sure they will dry rot before I wear them out.

I just replaced 4 15" ST tires radials on my TT
Cost about $80 each. (Towmaster Brand)

I'd replace all 4 if it was mine. I'd chose non-Chinese STs. Maxxis get good reviews. Hope they are good, as I just bought two.
IMO also get metal valve stems, and have them balanced.

You may want to look at 14" wheels with the tires already mounted. This then becomes a driveway tire change rather than a dealer or taking them one at a time to the gas station to be changed. You'll pay for mounting and tire disposal anyway if you just buy new tires. Replace the spare too.
The ST205/75R14 tires are rated at 1760 pounds each and will eliminate any fear of overloading them on your trailer. This is the size tire Forest River puts on their new trailers and the earlier trailers with the "riser kit."
Finding North American made ST tires may turn into a quest, they're very uncommon.
Balancing trailer wheels tires is a useless exercise unless the tire shop has a spindle to mount the wheels by the lugs. The hole in the middle of a trailer wheel is not a center hole like a car wheel. If they balance using this middle hole (that may or may not be in the center) you have as much chance of making the balance worse as better. If you can find the spindle do it, but it's rarely necessary or possible to balance these tires. There are probably a few places that will balance the wheels on the trailer, but I've not seen one in years.
