I look at pictures of Pismo Beach Oceano Dunes SVRA area and there were alot of 5th wheels, TT, and motorhomes on the beach.

I have a 34 foot Travel trailer towed by a stock Ford Superduty 4x4 single rear wheel F350 Super Crew. Is it a good idea to tow the RV onto the beach and boondock on the beach? What are my chances of getting stuck?

Would love to hear from people who have been there and pulled their RV on the beach.

Thanks!

You can always get stuck but if you air down the trailer and the truck you might be alright.

I have 2 wheel drive so it wasnt pretty for me...

Go in at low tide so you can cross the creek on the wet sand normally covered with ocean at high tide.

I have camped on the beach several times with a 36ft 5er, pulled with a f350 sd cc duelly 4x4 diesel. only had a problem one time and that was because I parked to close to the high tide line and had to move to higher ground in the dark. took a while to crawl to firm ground the next day. I don't know how a single rear wheel rig pulls but the duelly would crawl out of anything. If you drive in on the wet packed beach you will not have a problem, pick a site near some other campers and you can always get someone to help pull you out if you have a problem. lower the presure in the truck tires to about 15-20 lbs only if you can't get out. you should not have a problem if you use some common sense.
