I have had my two Trojan T-105's awhile and finally collected the rest of the gear. This was intended to be a low budget install.
Inveter is a Xantrex Pro 1800 with remote faceplate and built in transfer switch. I chose to wire whole house knowing that would come with more operational responsibility but less hardware (no sub panel) and cost. The biggest inconvenience with this method is I have to unplug my converter (maybe i'll put in a wall switch?) I'm pretty handy around the shop but electrical is not my strong point so if something is grossly dangerous please let me know.

Xantrex Pro 1800 W/ remote panel and 250 amp push to trip circuit breaker (per instuctions)

30' of 12/3 stranded wire and 10' of 2/0 welding wire

Welding wire cut and crimped on connecters / 250 AMP breaker

Old cable from breaker box and new "IN" line to inverter

New "IN" and new "Out" from inverter

Inverter in front storage space

We will try this system out and see if it fits our needs then possibily modify later. Bigger converter ect.

The Xantrex doesn't have a converter built in? So do you have to physically bypass the inverter when you run your gen?

It's a nice clean unit. It has a better look to it than the one we installed three or four years ago.

It has a built in transfer switch but not a built in converter. The remote panel is kind of nice too. I picked up this refurbished unit(90 day warranty) for $200.00

Thats the same unit I have but I only use it for a couple of things so I run it off of 2 extention cords. Do you have to unplug shore line and plug in inverter line and reverse to go to Gen. power?

in the second to last photo it shows ready to run the Gen.(both plugs in). To run inverter I have to unplug the small black plug to the converter(you can still run the Gen but no battery charge). for shore power the big plug comes out to hook to shore power and it runs through the inverter and back to the breaker box

You should only have to unplug for shore power, and if you are hooked up to shore power, you don't have to use the inverter or Genny...

I've alreay installed a Transfer switch after looking at this, I don't need it!!!!

How far is the breaker from the battery?

I have the smaller unit, XM1000 wired to just the TV outlets. Works great!

I have the same setup, the XM1800 and two 6v's. But I agonized over how to do the wiring and researched all I could find on the net. My previous MH was hooked up just like yours and I put a switch on the outlet that the converter connected to. That way all I did was physically plug in the system to the inverter and switch off the converter.

On my new one I rewired the whole house panel, split out all the plug circuits and installed a sub panel with 4 circuits to hot up all the plugs, and the built-in isolator automatically disconnects the system when plugged in to shore power. Seems to work fine, took me a few days to figure out and wire but I think its a better system. I love the sub panel that comes with the Xantrex giving constant voltage readings.

Your setup should work just fine and it does a good job with the microwave, etc.
