I have been a fan of the "Flyin Wheel"since the late 50s and would love nothing better than to see them win another Stanley Cup,but we shouldn t sell that Pittsburg team short. If they get some top notch goaltending they will be tough, after a hard fought series Wings win it in seven games.

For the Detroit Red Wings, Chris the Wizzard of OZ was GOOD! Red Wings beat Dallas Stars 4 to 1 and moves on to the Stanley Cup finals again Pittsburgh. Bagman.

The Wizard of Oz retired from baseball about 12 years ago. I didn't know he took up hockey!
As far as the Red Wings are concerned, they are always a force in hockey, and that is very much one reason I can't stand them! Let some new blood win that cup for a change!!!!
I would think at this point even a Detroit fan would get bored with the monotony of always being about the best in the league. My team is rebuilding right now, and should not even be mentioned in the same breath as the Stanley Cup contenders, so I will not even mention them.
They have a lot of work to do.

Chris Osgood = Wizard of Oz If you lived up here in Detrtoit, you would get it! I think you are referring to Ozzie Smith the baseball player! Different regions, different Wizards of Oz!

Yeah I know who Chris Osgood is, he even played hockey down in these parts for a couple seasons. Not too bad, but not as good then as he apparently is now for you guys.
We now have another Detroit castaway goalie in Manny Legace who does a great job for us. Too bad we can't put together a decent team around him. We better hurry because he isn't getting any younger.
And by the way, Ozzie is the Wizard nationwide!

No argument with Ozzie Smith being the Wizzard of Oz nationwide, but up here in Detroit, Chris Osgood is referred to in the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, and local hockey commentators as the Wizzard of Oz. Two different sports, two different regions of the country! Oh, the Red Wings winning all the time counter balances the Detroit Lions loosing! Bags.
