My lance 815 will drain in about 1 hour from 3/4 full. Of course I have a smaller fresh water tank. I agree. There's restriction somewhere.
I'm not a big fan of running the pump just to empty the tank. It puts unnecessary wear and tear on it. IMHO

Yes I have. I've replaced 2. 1 under warranty ( Shur-Flo )and 1 due to my own stupidity (Flotec) (yes they will freeze and crack at 29 degrees.) replaced it with a Shur-Flo.
I have not had to replace the one in my TC but was relieved to see it is really easy to get to.

Thanks a million!! I've used forums on old Mercury outboards (Mark 58A, etc.), old Chevy trucks (1948 5-window) and old boats (1959 Sande Ace) but I have never seen such immediate and helpful responses! Thanks, guys!
I pulled the spigot and found 3/8" ID tubing with no clogging there. The aluminum siding has been buggered up so I think a previous owner also had problems.
The tubing is so short that I can't get the spigot back on. The tubing isn't accessible from top or bottom so I'm considering cutting out the oval area in the picture to get a better grasp on the situation and check for kinks. I'll cover it with a metal plate.
How else do you follow that drain line back to the tank?
Our Lance 815 fresh drain slowed down too. I did the bleach technique and then used an air compressor set to 20psi max to reverse the flow of water a couple of times. Within a few seconds I had a bunch of green snotty stuff flowing out of the drain and it's worked great ever since! -Jason
The tubing was too short and was crimped at the first bend. I did a temporary fix it empties in 2-3 hours. Much better! I'll still have to cut into that chase for the permanent fix.
We're taking the camper its first trip (for us) because tomorrow starts the "catch and eat" season on the streams!
