I am confused about member levels, I see new member, full member, etc., what does all that mean and how does one get promoted? What is one entitled to as a full member or senior member versus a new member?
Second question, where does on go to find the neat US map I see in members signature?
Thanks

Member level means nothing... just the number of posts you have made... no additional benefits.

- Senior Member - 200 plus posts

Thanks for the map link Fred, and thanks to the rest of you for explaining the member levels. I'll probably never be a full member for several years yet, don't have that much time to spend in front of the computer.

You become a full member when you fill in half your states, senior member when you fill in 40

What if you can only fill in one state in concerns to camping in a camper? Does it include tent camping or hotel camping? Hoping this will change this year!

I joined RV.net in 2005 and am still a "New Member". After having been a member for a year or so, my status was still New Member. So, I searched the RV.net site and learned, as most have already pointed out, that it has nothing to do with longevity. It has more to do with having nothing better to do than post replies and/or fill in states on the U.S. map to run up your status. I don't mind chipping in my two-cents worth of experience once in a while, or sharing tips with fellow RVers, but to go online and post up a storm to increase my member status has never been one of my longings.
