I am trying to compare the high priced mayonnaise with some of the lower priced brands. Smart Balance advertises being made with omega-3's from flax oil; the lower priced light mayo ingredients state it is made from soybean oil.

Any suggestions?

It's the egg yolk that will matter most. Try Hellmans/Best Foods Reduced Fat Mayonnaise Dressing - Mayonnaise with only 2 grams of fat per serving and no cholesterol, very tasty in tuna salad and on sandwiches.

What do you like? Buy what you like? The difference in price is going to save you enough money to go...what...a mile in your RV? Besides, it's probably going to get thrown out at the end of the summer anyway!
Life is short....spend the extra $1.

I actually like the cheaper brand better, but was wondering about the Omega-3 benefit, if any.

We prefer the hellmans reduced fat mayo. Taste the best of the low / no fat versions. For the full fat version i prefer Cains.

Miracle Whip. I know that, technically, it's not mayonnaise, but you know what they say, "It isn't a sandwich without the Miracle Whip."
I was 18 before I found out it wasn't really mayonnaise. Such a sheltered childhood I lived.
