That spec number (229.51) is in my owner's manual, and that's what I was looking for. My problem is there is no Mercedes dealer near here. The nearest certified Sprinter dealer is 120 miles away. Maybe I'll pick up some oil the first time I'm up there.

Here's an Internet site that sells the Sprinter oil: AV Lubricants 229.51 Mobil 1 ESP . But by the time you pay shipping it's over $10 per quart.

FYI, I buy Mobil 1 ESP in regular auto stores for around $7 per quart.

(I use it in my E450 V10 MH and also in my Onan 4KW MH generator.)
