Last week my daughter and I were running errands and I decided to pick up some take-out instead of cooking when I got home.......Pretty simple plan, right?

WRONG!....We parked, walked into the establishment and were surprised there was no line of people waiting to be served.

We stood by the railing, looking at the menu while the NICE young lady behind the counter waited to take our order...Once we decide on what we wanted we stepped up to the counter.......

I said, "I'll have the breast and wings with cole slaw and mashed potatoes/gravy, my daughter will have the leg only with a side of mac/cheese......

She then said, "We ain't got no chicken".....I said, "Well how long will it take to cook more?" She said, "We ain't got none to cook!"

Laughing, I started looking around, thinking I was in the wrong place, but sure enough, Colonel Sanders' face was ALL over the place!

I even said, "Isn't this KFC?"...She said, "Yes, but we aint got no chicken. We got everything else. We just ain't got no chicken"

I asked her how she could say that with such a straight face.......She said, "cuz I don't think it's funny ma'am"........I was ROTFLMAO!!

I was laughing so hard that my daughter was embarrassed.......A plus imo.......

LOL

Seems as though while y'all were deciding what to order that the nice young lady behind the counter might have mentioned that they were out of their main menu item! I would have laughed, too!!! Then both of us would have embarassed your daughter.

Sounds like the manager's head will roll after he gets through a meeting with his DM....you don't run out of your menu staple and expect to get away with it...

I used to work for JIB, back when I was "young"er than I am now...at least fewer parts hurt...and we'd order buns and burger patties every order, usually twice a week...literally 1/2 our freezer (10'x12') was cases of 1/3 and 1/4 pound burger-patties, the other 1/2 was split between fish-patties, chicken-patties, fries, onion rings, tacos and monster-tacos, taco salad meat chubs, the occaisional ham or turkey (a thank-you for management, given out at certain holidays). Our cases stacked from the shelf (4" over floor) to the ceiling, and the fries and rings too, but the ff and rings came in 15# bags (about the size of a bag of dog food).

I asked her why she let me read over the menu and make my selection before telling me...She said, "Because we have everything else, we just ain't got no chicken."...LOL!.....I told her she should post a sign on the door saying they don't have chicken.

As I was walking out, a guy was walking in so I stopped to see his reaction......

He approaches the counter and she says, "We ain't got no chicken".....He said, "So I can't have this hot wing special?"

She said, "Oh, we have hot wings, we just don't have chicken!"...

I lost it! The guy was laughing and said, "Well if the hot wings aren't chicken, what are they?

She said, "Uh, they're HOT WINGS!".......

We both left laughing hysterically and even my daughter laughed when she said that......Poor girl!

I wonder what animal those KFC hot wings come from? All these years on earth and I've always thought that hot wings are part(s) of a chicken! LOL
