My family and I are FT at Holiday Trav-L-Park near Chattanooga, TN and I just started a Pet Siting business. I am not licensed, insured or bonded, but I am looking into it. I do have a release form which the dog owner signs, stating that I have their permission to enter the RV and walk and care for their dog. It also states that unless negligence is proven, I am not liable for any injury or damage.
I currently charge $5 per dog for 1 walk and $3 for each addition walk.
Feeding and overnight care is extra, but I have not had to do that so I have not come up with a figure yet. So far, it is very successful.
We have also used the "dog walking" services offered at the Alpen Rose in Durango. I wish more RV Parks would offer this service. We seldom leave Rosey (Grier) for longer than 4 hours in the motorhome at a time.
Let me asure you there is a need for just what you described. We use a regular "fur kid" sitter at the stick house and we are so lucky to have encountered just what you described where we winter in Fl. at our RV Resort. She is very busy just in that park alone where there are 375 spaces and 275+dogs. She comes right to our coach and stays there with them until we return. She walks them, plays with them and just hangs out with them. We love both of our sitters and would not be without them. Have fun and good luck.
